Benjamin (Eliezer Dov) Schron was born in Warsaw in 1896 or 1897. He came to New York on the Lapland in January 1910 as “Leiser Schrom”, with his mother Freide and his brothers and sisters, to join his father Morris.
Eva (Chava) Szymkowicz was born on 15 January 1903 in the Maków district, at the village of Bazar. She came in 1920 as “Chawa Szymkowics”; her father was then in Worms, Germany.
Benjamin and Eva married in Manhattan on 4 March 1923. In the 1940 census their household included their daughter Dorothy, who married Seymour Bald; they are the parents of the three sisters. Dorothy’s brothers were Murray, Albert, Seymour and Ruby.
Benjamin died on 17 Cheshvan 5731 (16 November 1970) and Eva on 3 Cheshvan 5737 (27 October 1976). A 1981 Miami date in online trees has no record behind it. They lie in the Makowa of Poland society plot at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, near their son Murray, Chaim Moshe, named for his grandfather Morris.
