Mount Zion Cemetery, Maspeth, Queens

Three landsmanshaft plots here hold three of the sisters’ great-grandfathers: Isaac Bald and Kalman Wank on their father’s side, and Morris Schron on their mother’s, each with his wife or family nearby.

Mestretyn society plot

Isaac Bald (13L-16-8-179) and Tillie Bald (13L-16-33-179), with Tillie’s brother Elkunah Ochs. A “Frieda Ox” buried here in 1908 may be Tillie’s mother. No stone photos are online.

Dunajewer society plot

Kalman Wank, 14L-ROAD-79-259. Why he lies in the Dunajewer plot is not known; it may simply be where a grave was available.

Govorow (Goworowo) society plot

Morris Shron (D6L-4-1-3), Frieda Schron (D6L-4-15), and Abraham Shron two graves from Morris (D6L-4-1-6), possibly his kinsman, buried 30 Jun 1924; Abraham’s wife Sarah Breine is in the same plot.
