Rabbi Moshe Zvi Aryeh Bick: a near-contemporary appreciation

Shmuel Kessner's appreciation in The Jewish Observer (January 1991, pp.18-19) records Rabbi Moshe Zvi Aryeh Bick's death on 9 September 1990 (19 Elul 5750), his study under Rabbi Moshe Soloveitchik at Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchonon, and his first Bronx rabbinical post in 1933, followed later by a move to Borough Park. Kessner writes as a congregant of 23 years.

This adds attributed biographical context to the site's existing Bick profile. It is not new civil proof of the Bald marriage or an extension of the ancestry tree. The earlier marriage identification and its confidence grade are unchanged. Zisel's photographed gravestone is her own stone, not a shared stone proving her husband's dates.

The Jewish Observer, January 1991, printed pp.18-19, Shmuel Kessner. Short factual paraphrase only; no article pages, photograph, medical details or named descendants are reproduced.

Goworowo Shron households

The 1966 Goworowo Memorial Book records Shron households whose relationship to the American family of Morris (Chaim Moshe) Schron, son of Julius and Esther Burr, has not been proved. These source-linked historical notes are not additions to the connected family tree. A shared surname is not a family link.

Household memorials, pages 454-455

The memorial on page 454 names Yisroel Yitskhak Shron as murdered and Khaye Beyle as having died at the start of the war. It also commemorates Dan, his wife Reyzl, their son Sholem Hershl, and Dovid as murdered.

The memorial on page 455 commemorates Khayim Dovid and Beyle Shron; Rokhl Leye Shikora, her husband Pinkhas and their children Avieyzer and Yehudis; Malke Rozenberg, her husband Nakhman and their children; and Bashe Yismeyakh, her husband Yekhiel and their children. It states that all were killed by the Nazis. This is the memorial's testimony, not an independently reconciled civil-register pedigree.

Read the memorials in the JewishGen translation (translations by Tina Lunson; additional Hebrew text translated by Sara Mages).

A marriage connection described on page 351

In “Goworowo in My Eyes”, Cantor Nosn Stolnits describes Khaye Beyle, wife of Yisroel Yitskhak Shron, as his sister, and Beyle, wife of Khayim Dovid Shron, as his aunt. This is attributed first-person testimony linking the households through his family. It does not prove the two Shron husbands were brothers, that aunt Beyle was born Stolnits, or that either household belongs to the American Schron line.

Read page 351, “Goworowo in My Eyes” (English translation by Tina Lunson).

No memorial-book images are reproduced here. Surviving mourners' profiles and uncertain cemetery identities have not been added. No Joel=Joseph identification or new American ancestry connection is established.
